Experience designer, creative storyteller, visual thinker, boundary-pusher with a passion for making great ideas better
through design.

Hi, my name is Marissa Mossberg and I am Product Design consultant currently living and working in the Bay Area. For the past 8 years I have worked with a number of companies, both large and small, helping them solve complex design problems in today’s rapidly changing digital space.

I describe myself as a creative problem solver; an experience designer. I like designing meaningful experiences for users. I began my career as a visual designer and pivoted to the interactive space when I realized that solving things visually only solved a portion of the puzzle. Over the years I I have been lucky enough to apply these skills to clients like: Apple, Google, Traction, Comcast (NBC),
The San Francisco Arts Commission, The Gap, Belle, & more.

My journey has been far from linear. It has been filled with diverse experiences which have helped me immensely with empathy, communication, and presenting ideas to diverse audiences. Some highlights include: Receiving a BA in English Language and Literature, completing a 3 year design program at RISD, 15 years of hospitality experience, 6 years as a freelance designer, 2 years as an elementary school educator, and 3 years as a competitive powerlifter (4 gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze).

To keep my creativity flowing I enjoy discovering uniqueness in photography, exploring illustration and typography, and experiential design projects.
